Here's a great combination that can't miss. On this album we have California's incomparable cowboy harmonists, the Hannah boys, being produced by Texan Rich O'Brien, a musical genius and one of the greatest of guitarists.
For those of us who know about them, Jack Hannah's original cowboy songs are among the best ever written, and he has included eight of them here. In addition, there are collaborations with Colorado song writer Kenn Lee and noted cowboy entertainer Baxter Black.
There is also Michael Martin Murphey's "Land of Enchantment," Badger Clark's great "Border Affair," and a musical trilogy of "Shenandoah," "Red River Valley," and "Home on the Range."
Superior is a hallmark of the Sons of the San Joaquin music - Joe Hannah's operatic tenor/baritone, Jack Hannah's wide ranging and powerful baritone/bass, and Lon Hannah's melodic and touching tenor. Blend these magnificent voices in O'Brien arrangements and you have a five-star winner.
